The Porto Alto in the Heart of Porto

The Porto Alto Student Residence is located close to Marquês, in the highest spot of Porto town, in the periphery of the traditional city centre. It is surrounded by commerce and service outlets and it has two underground stations and various bus stops within less than 5 minutes walking distance, which makes it quite easy to go anywhere in the city using public transportation. The "Baixa” is within 10 minutes walking distance and 6 minutes by underground. The Asprela University Campus is 6 minutes away from the Marquês metro station.

The Porto Alto was conceived, designed and built to serve as a young student "boutique" residence. It has 34 one-bed apartments, one of which equipped for one handicapped guest, and 11 two-bed apartments distributed by the ground floor and the 3 levels above. It also has an interior foyer and an open air one, for smokers, and a common laundry in the ground floor. In the three basement levels there are 22 covered parking places, storage and technical areas.

Access to the building, to each apartment and to the parking is exclusively done using a secret digital code, attributed to each guest at the time of the apartment reservation.

fully equipped kitchenette

Each apartment has a kitchenette equipped with a refrigerator, stove, micro-wave with oven, kitchen train and table utensils necessary for each resident to be able to be autonomous regarding his, or her, food and beverage options.

private bathroom

Each apartment includes a large bathroom with shower and fitted with towels. Most have an exterior window.

wifi and cable tv

All apartments, foyer and laundry have wide band internet wireless access and each apartment has an Ultra HD television with cable channels. The foyer has a large screen Ultra HD television with Premium cable channels.

cleaning service, bedclothes and bathroom towels

Once a week the used bedclothes and bathroom towels are replaced and each apartment is cleaned (included in the monthly fee).

all inclusive

The monthly payment includes not only the apartment lease and the full use of its equipment, but also all the expenses directly related with its use, like electricity, water and gas consumptions, and the expenses with heating (from November 1st until April 30th), internet, cable TV, and weekly cleaning and cloth changes.

The Porto Alto has a covered car park garage, with 22 car places, that may be used by the residents after specific reservation and payment. Free for two-wheelers!

common laundry

The Porto Alto makes available to its residnts a laundry equipped with washing and drying laundry machines, with pay-per-use, and irons and ironing boards are also available.
